Notice for 2017 Winter Vacation
With the coming of 2017 winter vacation several things need to be reminded for you：
1. Winter vacation will start on January 14th and end on February 19th. During the vacation the students can choose to stay at the university to study and enjoy themselves or depart the university. For those who will be away from the university, they must go through the leave procedures and fill in the form at the International Students Office, otherwise they are considered against the university regulations. All the students must be back at the school before the deadline and the school authorities will check the return. Those who will not be back for the class punctually will be severely punished by the university authorities based upon the circumstances.
2. Personal safety is the first priority. All the international students should pay much attention to their safety whether at the school or traveling to different places during vacation. When you have to use electric blanket for warming, you shall buy high quality one. Motor vehicle is banned if you don’t have legal licenses. Students who stay at the university are advised to close your door or even lock your door when you are not in your room in order to prevent theft. You are also demanded to be back at dormitory before 11 o’clock pm and forbidden to take any outsiders especially females to the dormitory for staying overnight.
3. Collect Money to pay all the fees. All the international students must take advantage of the winter vacation period to collect money from your family for the new academic year. All the fees should be paid before the first two months of the new semester. Those who already owed the university money should be cleared at the same time. All the fees money should be directly deposited into the University account. The account No. is 1502209009026408036. In 2016 some students’ scholarships were cancelled and two students were not allowed to attend thesis defending normally just because they owed the university money. In 2017 students who owe the university can not get their results and will be suspended in your learning.
4. Those who failed in the final exams of some subjects should take vacation time to review and prepare for the makeup exam. From the next semester, those who failed the exams of three subjects will not go up to the next grade to study and have to stay the same grade to continue their study.
5. For Chinese Lunar New Year celebration, the University may organize Spring Festival celebrative activity as usual. If so, you are welcomed to take part in. We will inform you by posting the Notice on wechat and in the Bulletin Board.
